We are loosing this very special group of men and women who served in WWII (along with their stories). My Dad was also a WWII Veteran and when we would ask him what is was like . . . he would always say " that was a long time ago . . . let's talk about now". I know that he was proud to have served . . . but never really shared many stories. Thanks to those who have served past and present. Sorry to hear of your loss.
